He introduced a variety of leather goods that would propel the company into success, notably one of our favourite (now discontinued) Papillon handbag. Inspired by the lightness and playfulness of a butterfly, this barrel-style handbag, remains one of the most sought-after silhouettes when it comes to vintage Louis Vuitton.
Rarely, do we come across an excellent condition piece like this one AND a full set, since the Papillon is comprised of a main handbag and its very own miniature double, in pouch form. The latter can be used as a wallet, clutch, attached to the bag or worn separately - you’re effectively getting two bags for the price of one!
Crafted of signature Louis Vuitton monogram coated canvas, the bag features leather piping and trim that extends into strap handles. The brass top zipper opens to a brown cross-grain interior which guarantees your bag will be easily cleaned, therefore providing a fantastic guarantee on your investment.
